Announcements, diary and profile

Announcements#

Announcements lists notices from the school — for the whole school or your child's class. Each shows the date, the message and any attachment (e.g. the term calendar, exam timetable, PTA letter). Unread notices are highlighted and, in the app, arrive as push notifications.

Student diary#

Teachers may write a diary note about your child — behaviour, health, praise or a reminder about books. Open Diary to read notes and reply if the school allows replies. Notes are private to you and the school.

Events and holidays#

Calendar (or the dashboard) shows school events and public holidays entered by the school.

Profile#

Profile shows the student's details held by the school — name, class and arm, admission number, date of birth, guardian details.

• Parents: keep your phone number and email current — the school uses them for fee reminders, results and the password reset. Ask the office to update anything you cannot edit yourself.
• Change password is under Profile for both students and parents.

Privacy#

Your child's information is only visible to you, your child (student login) and authorised school staff. SEMS follows the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR); the school's Privacy Policy is linked at the bottom of the website. For data requests, contact the school or support@sems.ng.

Help#

For anything about your child's records (attendance, marks, fees), contact the school office — the school controls the data. For problems with the portal or app itself, email support@sems.ng with the school name and a description of the problem.
